Outlook messages when moved to subfolders create duplicate "linked" emails in Inbox.

Dear All,

I've been stumped with this issue for over a month now and any input would be much appreciated.

Scenario:

User receives e-mails in Outlook 2013 on Windows 8.1 via POP server.  User then files e-mails into subfolders.  Days or weeks later, the user discovers the same e-mails within his Inbox.  The e-mails also appear in the subfolders where they were filed.  User then deletes e-mails within his Inbox which also delete the subfolder e-mails.  Outlook "thinks" the e-mails are the same e-mail.

What was done:

Reinstallation of Outlook.  Cleanpst multiple times until no errors found.

Environment:

Outlook Plugins loaded include Kaspersky Antivirus and Sharefile.  15 User network, same configuration on each workstation, other users not experiencing issue.

Additional:

Issue appears to be random and does not occur with all messages.

Any help with this issue would be appreciated, thank you.

Hi,

Do you have your email account set up on other devices? If so, please try temporarily disable the syncing on other devices and then check if this issue will happen again.

In addition, please also check if you have any third-party add-in installed in Outlook which may caused the problem. Go to File > Options > Add-in to verify this. Try disabling suspicious add-ins to see if this issue continues. Antivirus software always integrates itself into Outlook and may cause unexpected error. Please make sure your antivirus software is not integrated into your Outlook while troubleshooting the issue.
